Brian also helped us produce the songs and played the instruments we completely suck at, like bass and electric guitar. He is, in a word, awesome. Karen and Amy Finalists in Philadelphia Songwriters Project 2009 Songwriting Contest UPDATE 6/7/09: We didn't win, but we're happy to have our songwriting recognized in the finals for this event two years in a row. Encouraging to say the least. And we've met a bunch of really nice, talented people to boot. It's all good. We are thrilled to be finalists in the Philadelphia Songwriters Project Songwriting Contest for the second year in a row. Last year, we met so many talented songwriters and we feel honored to be invited back again this year. Your in-person support is needed! On June 7 at Milkboy Coffee in Ardmore, the finalists will perform and the audience will vote. If selected as one of the top 6, we will get the opportunity to perform at Musikfest, The Kimmel Center and The Philly Folk Festival, which would be a VERY BIG AND AMAZING THING for us.
